About EXOv5

Using composite siloxane technology, EXOv5 makes water spots and road grime easy to remove, offers excellent resistance to all wash chemicals and can help withstand micro-marring. It produces a high-gloss, warm-looking, extremely hydrophobic finish, with a consistent film that is more durable and resistant to road salt and wash chemicals than its predecessors.

Application has been improved with just a single layer of product required, and a slow flash-off time giving you more time to achieve a perfect finish. Combined with a good degree of swirl resistance, EXOv5 represents a significant step forward in last-stage protection.

Is this the right coating for you?

EXOv5 is a top layer, not a base coat. It goes over Crystal Serum Light for water behaviour and gloss, or on its own as a shorter lived standalone coating. If you are starting from bare paint and want one job that lasts, start with CSL. Buy EXOv5 if the car already has a coating you are topping up, or you want the hydrophobic layer to go over a fresh CSL install.

How to use it

• EXOv5 can be applied as a standalone coating, or as a top layer over Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light. We recommend a CSL base coat for easy to mark and dark paints
• If you are applying over CSL, EXOv5 can go on 1 hour after CSL, starting at the same place you did with CSL
• Ensure your vehicle is out of direct sunlight but warmer than 10°C, is completely dry, and will stay dry for at least 12 hours after application
• Wipe down all surfaces with a panel wipe or prep spray on a clean edgeless microfibre cloth: apply it to the cloth and buff, not directly to the panel. If you are applying over newly applied CSL, this step is not required
• Shake the bottle well and wear gloves
• Prime a large microfibre applicator evenly with a good amount of product so the pad is damp
• Apply in overlapping strokes to a small panel or half a large panel
• Wait 1 to 2 minutes, then buff with a clean edgeless microfibre cloth, followed by a second to remove any smearing and leave the surface slick. Only a single layer is required
• Allow the coating to cure for at least 12 hours before getting wet
• We recommend not washing the car for at least a week after application
• Store in a cool, dry place
• Use within 3 months of opening
• Avoid direct application to plastic trims, rubbers and hard plastics such as headlights and taillights
