A chemical decontaminant that breaks the bond between embedded iron particles and your clear coat. It goes on clear and turns purple as it reacts, so you can see exactly how much brake dust and rail dust your paint was carrying.
Iron fallout is what makes paint feel gritty after a wash even though it looks clean. Nothing you do with a wash pad removes it, and any wax, sealant or coating applied over the top of it is bonding to contamination rather than to paint.
Sprayed neat from the bottle, at the strength we use on customer cars.
Specifications
- Colour changing chemical decontaminant
- For paintwork and wheels
- Supplied ready to use. Nothing to dilute.
- Sizes: 1 litre and 5 litre
How to use it
- Work in the shade or under cover, on a cool car. Never in direct sun or on hot panels.
- Rinse the whole car down first.
- Spray over the painted panels and the wheels.
- Let it dwell 3 to 5 minutes. If a panel starts to dry, mist it with water.
- Rinse the whole car down thoroughly, then wash as normal with WASH.
Good to know
- Do not let it dry on the panel. That is the one way to get this wrong.
- It has a smell. That is the chemistry doing its job, and it rinses away.
- Follow it with a clay bar for the bonded contamination it cannot dissolve. The two together is a full decontamination.
- Twice a year on a daily driver is plenty, or before any sealant or coating goes on.
- Not for use on unsealed bare metal or polished alloys.
