A plastic insert that sits flat in the bottom of a bucket and keeps the grit down there. Rub your wash pad across the ribs and the dirt drops through and stays put, instead of swirling back up into the water you are about to put on your car.
It is the cheapest bit of scratch prevention you can buy, and it goes in both buckets, not just one.
Specifications
- Fits our 15 litre Wash, Rinse and Wheel buckets, and most standard buckets of that size
- Ribbed top face for agitating the pad
How to use it
- Drop it in the bottom, flat side down, then fill the bucket.
- Do not just dunk the pad. Press it onto the guard and drag it across the ribs. That is what releases the grit.
- Two guards, one per bucket, is the right answer. The rinse bucket needs one more than the wash bucket does.
Good to know
- Our Wash and Rinse buckets already include one. This is for adding to a bucket you already own, or for the Wheel Bucket.
- Tip the bucket out and rinse the guard off after a wash. Whatever it caught is sitting under it.
